SKINCARE REGIMEN - Balance Is Key!
Everyone is into using minimal skincare products now and that's great because we absorb up to 60% of what we apply on our skin. Because our skin's pH is normally at 4.7-5.5 (acidic), and most cleansers that lather are on the alkaline side (9+), we need to recalibrate after cleansing our face to prevent breakouts!

I'm a Nurse and NOT an Esthetician, Dermatologist or Chemist, but I do know for a fact that balance is key with everything in life, and that includes our skincare regimen! If your skin becomes too alkaline, it's prone to breakouts and dry skin. Our skin has a thin, protective layer called the acid mantle. It is made up of sebum. Naturally, amino acids mix with lactic acid from our sweat, creating our skin's pH level.

It is best to use a toner after cleansing, and then a good facial oil or serum to get your skin's pH back to its Optimal level, which is around a 5.5. 💕😊
